Pre-installation Checklist

WHAT YOU NEED TO PRIME YOUR RIG FOR YOUR KIT:

  • Clean and degrease (optional)

  • Complete any rust removal if necessary (optional)

  • Sand, prime, and spray where needed (optional)

  • Install roof hatch/fan if wanted (highly recommended for temp control)

  • Install plywood floor (12-15mm plywood recommended. Aim to keep total flooring height below 30mm to maintain optimal head height over the mattress.

  • Run electrical wires to any outlets, fans, switches, lights (optional)

  • All kit options have allowances for auxiliary battery and DC to DC charger in front of the RHS wheel arch, (wires to protrude wall lining no more than 300mm above the top of floor level)

  • Allow for 12V socket behind driver’s seat for a fridge in the CITY SURFER  and HIGH-LIFE LONG-LIFE models

  • Line walls with 4mm- 7mm ply or board on at least the bottom half of your van to an approximate height of 600mm in low roof models and 1100mm in high roof models so as to ensure your kit fits correctly (don’t forget to poke wires through the wall where required)

  • Install ceiling of choice (optional)

  • Complete any painting/staining of any walls if necessary

  • Lay floating floor or vinyl boards on the floor if required by your vision

  • Open your kit and start installing your mobile dream

  • Ensure your chosen kit doesn’t obstruct any access points on the floor/base of your van (eg. tyre release point).
